This thread should be sticky as that will encourage others to do the same. I am wondering why there is no such guidelines from core so far but then I think core is just one of us like pcs who takes the initiatives.

Oh I can find that information again-
Goto - http://soprweb.senate.gov/index.cfm?event=selectfields
- check box for client name
- click 'submit' button
- enter 'Immigration Voice' in the client name
- click 'submit' button
Now you see the amount spent by IV for lobbying in the Senate documents. Its around 1/2 million dollars.

C�mon boy I�m not asking to make Steve miller their VP operation and use that million dollar in grants to fund that project. What I�m asking is �can you tell us how many applications you received of which chargeability and in which EB categories� and assurance that they will issue EADs and APs in less than 90 days. To ask this you don�t need citizen rights you are asking a public agency a service which they are supposed to provide and they are charging us to do that�

i had run these numbers a while back. for sure EB2 will reach the end of 2005 this year. i just hope its done systematically so that they clear everybody with an EB2 2005 PD this year.
Trust me, my friend - I surely believe in systematic movement and by this june/july it will be Dec05 or beyond. Dates for EB2 have stayed around apr04 for really longer and then suddenly to 06. Very few perms were cleared in 05 (as per your posting). It should logivcally be past 2005 , never to go back.BTW ,we missed GC last aug/sept lotto

My another post to another thread mentioned I'll send a $300 check. (I was too panicking and was reading all kinds of postings.)
I told my American friend about how unfair the new bill is to people like us. She wants to help and also asks her parents to contact their senator in different state. Because they only don't like illegal immigrants.
My attorney's web site has his comment. He thinks this unreasonable bill can't be passed.
I'll call senators and congressmen in my state Monday as well as editors working for leading newspaper in my area.
American dream was what drawn us here: a belief you can live a good life if you work hard, being creative and receive advanced education. I think the reason why America has become the strongest country is more than one-hundred year's hard work and contribution from generations' immigrants. A continued inflow of warm blood, creativity and hard working is the guarantee that America will remain strong. What this bill is doing is to bring evil spirit to America. Law-abiding, being good person, trustworthy, hard-working virtues do not fit into this country's culture anymore. Being illegal, breaking the law and not paying taxes are encouraged by government.
I am very sad to see this bill being proposed. I love the old American spirits and love the people here. The bill told me to no longer hold faith in their system.

I have got a PM from another IV member whose 485 got denied yesterday because of 140 revocation. He switched the job after 180 days and sent AC21 docs as well. He is willing to share his ordeal with us.
Are we sending personal exp of the ppl affected along with the letter ? I guess, it makes perfect sense to send some real 485 denial examples.

i dont understand the point of your discussion. i doubt if you are EB3 or really care about helping with the letter. you wanted to make a point, you made it, no use arguing for arguments sake. Do you think that sending a 'factually correct' letter will make the dates active or get a different response. You imagine that a person at USCIS is sitting with a red pen correcting letters from 'highly skilled' applicants? A letter is an opinion to highlight an issue important and critical to them, let them express it. You can mail them a rebuttal if you want, why are you sowing doubts and ridiculing people who are interested in doing something.

You havent experienced a long wait, i hope you dont. There are various reasons why people cannot use AC21...when you reach that stage you can weigh the pro's and con's.
If one is lucky enough to get a job of company vice-president then I am sure, in that case, company can do another I-140 and get PD ported.
BTW, I am yet to see any such cases where someone is offered job offer for vice president whereas he/she is working as Programmer.
I wish that he (guy in next cubicle) gets I-140 approved soon.

All employment based adjustment of status applications are filed at the Nebraska Service Center (NSC). The NSC will keep half of the cases it receives and send half to the Texas Service Center . There is no way of indicating which Service Center you want your case adjudicated at. Once the receipt notices are received you will know where your case is pending. All family based adjustment of status applications are filed at the National Benefits Center.

I agree, what did I do for IV for the past few months, nothing. Responded to one or two threads. Been very busy at work and was not able to contribute constructively to this organization. I am wondering how many of us are in this same boat, what are we all actually doing in helping the organization from either volunteering, getting more people to open their eyes and recognize a problem and organize and mobilize people. I have been trying for the past 4 years and its not easy and not always successful. To see the leadership team constantly juggling between work and working on different initiatives and putting in self less hours really requires appreciation. Now I think its worth asking ourselves, how much have we done or are willing to do to take us to where all of us want to be IMHO.
let me ask you this. did anyone from "leadership" call/email/contact you when you were inactive/busy with your life. if the leaders did not call/email you, how will you know if your help is needed. i don't see how its u'r fault

USCIS can process recaptured numbers. If 200k numbers are in one year USCIS will plan for 200k numbers in that year.In 2000 they processed more applications after a immigration reform. One way of preventing wastage is plan to process all the applications in 11 months. If any unused numbers can be processed in that one month.
