When ever you start working on EAD (filled I-9 form??)..then technically H1-B status will get invalidated...

Lets revive the campaign to remove country limits.
It is hurting EB immigrants from India and China and still people are unwilling to make this an important issue. We have not seen any employer take this up as an issue. However if you see country cap being added to the amnesty bill, the entire lobby of these people will make noise and will not let this happen. So let us stop giving arguments like diversity etc to ourselves because that really is not an argument across the board. So if country cap is an important issue for Indians and Chinese, they need to lobby hard against it. This has not really happened. Instead we get caught up in action items for small things that the community really wants. Imagine if the country caps are removed, the dates will move much faster. There needs to be strong support from the community if country caps were to be removed in CIR next year.

I want to bring to your attention that it’s been nearly a “Decade” since we saw any meaningful Visa Date movement from year 2001 for EB-3 Green Card applicants from India.
It is important to know that despite of severe visa retrogression and random visa cutoff date movements, USICIS or DOS hasn’t released any official information on how many Adjustment of Status applications are pending at USCIS under various categories which leaves thousands of AOS(Adjustment of Status) applicants in complete darkness and dependent on guessing games by various Law firms.
A green card application requires enormous amount of efforts and money from the beneficiary and his/her employer. People who are waiting for 7-8 years now would have had already spent average $15,000-$20,000, in maintaining their statuses and keep the Green Card process going on. Being stuck in a green card process keeps us bonded with 1 employer, job type etc.
We need to know if there is any light at the end of the tunnel. We need to know for how long we have to live our life in limbo. If there is hope than we need to be patient and plan to live like that for another 1-2 years. But if there’s no light at the end of the tunnel than we need to move on with our careers and other family commitments. Only your office and USCIS can help us by releasing statistics on the number and categories of applications pending with USCIS people waiting in this category can plan their lives accordingly.
It will be a great help if DOS or USCIS could tell us about the number of AOS application pending at USCIS along with their Categories(EB-3, EB-2, EB-1) and chargeable country.
We have been waiting for a decade and continue to wait would it be reasonable to request you for some guidance with regards to the Visa allotment. I request your office to provide some statistics on home many Adjustment of Status applications are pending at USCIS.
We understand that you work with in the limits of the law as set by the Congress and are limited by various constraints that are beyond your agency realm of work. We appreciate your hard work and sincerely thank you for all the hard work.

My I-140 approved at TSC on 02/23 and my attorney received the approval notice.
But the online status is still showing the case as pending. I thik TSC is offline on the status now.

Hi all .. I am not writing this post to disagree with any one on any thing. I am very respectful of the members who participate this forum and write their suggestions/comments/ideas... Specially when I know people who are facing the same problem but do not make any efforts to solve it or join IV.
In the same lines .. my opinion , we probably need more followers and implementers who can direct IV core suggested plans.
Actively participating the Forum and visiting the web site regulary is one of the actions called for from Pappu (IV Core), you are all doing, I did that. There are other action items that need be implemented by who ever has ability, time and can direct others.
BOTTOM LINE, YOU FOLKS BRING UP INTERESTING IDEAS AND DEBATE TO THE FORUM .. PLEASE KEEP IT UP.

My employer is a big wall street investment bank, and they have filed my PERM on May 14th.
The trend for PERM certification at Atlanta, as per my employer is between 90-120 days. Because they handled so many PERM cases at Atlanta, they know this trend.
Nothing muck we can do here. Just pray and hope for the best.

Your situation is similar to mine and I am sure lot more IVans are going thru the same.
I am in US for 10 years on H1b + EAD, and almost every day I attempt to weigh my options. It gets even tempting for people from India and other similar economies where finding a job is now piece of cake (for skilled worker). I also got carried away with American Dream and got into cars, house etc. assuming Legal Immigration is a sure shot in the land of opportunity, its just matter of time due to slow process but once you are in the line you are pretty much set. But now after so many years, situation doesn't looks that promising, especially after leaving what we had backhome, missing opportunities that other who-stayed have enjoyed, and now tempted to leave what we have build in US, brings me to square one. But I must solidify my ground before moving forward, and hence as long as I have job and I am confident that I will have a job no matter how bad economy turns, I will keep serving this country, and when I find that I have to make unreasonable sacrifices I will quit and happily goto any other booming economy, it could be India, Brazil, or any other country but with solid PR prospects, where I don’t have to giveup my career advancements, and I can plan for long term.

Even if you are RN licenes and educated in the USA. You still need a visa screen. I had to apply for visa screen. In my case it took only 1 week to get it. you can apply on line and send your documents. I'm not sure about the EAD though. YOu may wwant to post your question on the free Consultaion thread.

This is the worst DMV in NJ... You may be better off going to Jersey City, Princeton or anywhere else.
Princeton/Trenton are also worst...FYI...My DL already expired on 9th Sept.
I went to Trenton with original receipt and employer letter but still they refused to renew my license.
My attorney forgot to upgrade my H1 application to premium process and then started to defend himself by saying that he did not get any approval from my employer and at the same time he never told me that he did not get my employer authorization till Sept 11th where as I asked him to upgrade to premium sometime in last week of July'07. So from July to Sept'11th he kept making excuses one after another but never mentioned that he needs an employer authorization.Thats how these attorneys work and screw our lives....

I emailed them not as me but as my employer( point of contact mentioned in the labor petition) and it works they send me a copy of the labor approval to my house along with a copy to my employer and one to my attroney. It really works.
